Membership
To join Bloomingdale Aging in Place, please read the instructions below and, if you are eligible, fill out and submit the form at the bottom of this page.
Eligibility
Membership in Bloomingdale Aging in Place, which includes its many social and fitness activities, is free and open to adults living on the Upper West Side between West 96th and West 110th Streets and between Riverside Drive and Central Park West, regardless of those adults’ age, national origin, citizenship status, race, color, religion or creed, disability, gender or gender identity, sex or sexual orientation, marital or partnership status. If you have not registered as a member and live in the area outlined above, please take a moment to sign up by filling out the form below. Please note that fields with a red asterisk are required fields.
After you submit the completed membership form below, you will soon receive a welcome email from our president. Please look for the welcome message in the coming days.
Getting Started
Once you've signed up below, there are several resources we offer all members upon registration:
• Our Introduction for New Members with FAQ and Golden Rules of Participation
• Our Emergency Information and Contact forms
• Invitations to participate in our offerings will begin to arrive almost immediately.
• Depending on availability, Neighbor-to-Neighbor (N2N) and Tech Squad volunteers can assist members.
• Find referrals for many professionals on our Resource Exchange
• Participating with BAiP can also mean volunteering with us. To learn more, please click here.
To people living beyond the boundaries described above:
BAiP’s mission as an all-volunteer organization is to create community among nearby neighbors, and for that purpose we have defined our geographic boundaries. We are happy to share the BAiP model with neighboring communities eager to establish similar grassroots organizations.
