Pilates increases strength and sculpts the body — so it is mildly strenuous.

The class spends the first 30 minutes with standing exercises working all major muscle groups. You can leave the class at that time or spend the next 30 minutes working those muscles on the floor. 

Light weights are needed.

Please note: to participate in these sessions with a live video image you will need an internet connection and a tablet/desktop/laptop computer or a smartphone. BAiP’s Pilates instructor wants to be able to see you so a voice-only connection will not be workable. Your device does not need a mic, but if you have one it will enable you to speak to other BAiP members before and after class.
