BAiP/LIVE! launches. Introducing our fast-paced, Zoom-based variety show delivered by and for BAiP members-- a hybrid of an old-time radio program crossed with a TV chat show, created by neighbors and involving participation from a live audience.

All Fall, we celebrated BAiP@10, the 10th anniversary of this network of neighbors helping neighbors. Anniversary events were all led by members and included outings, klatches, lectures, presentations and a big party at which our 2019 Sands award was presented to Arlene Seffern (at right).

Recent BAiP panel presentations focused on end-of-life planning. How to prepare for the possibility of becoming incapacitated, dying at home, dying with or without a will, and navigating probate were all topics of concern. By Manhattan Borough President proclamation, April 8 was dubbed BAiP Volunteer Appreciation Day in Manhattan. At an organization-wide event, our community came together to celebrate the corps of volunteers who produce the scores of BAiP offerings -- from activities to panels to communications to helping hands. The Sands Award was presented to member and volunteer, Teresa Elwert.
